The Alzheimer’s Association reports that between 2000 and 2017, Alzheimer’s deaths had an unimaginable increase of 145%. In effect, in seven years the rate more than doubled.  What is going on? There are many contributing factors that skew the numbers in a variety of ways, but certainly, the number of baby boomers is part of the equation. A lack of Cannabis use, due to many years of employment and fear of losing jobs, is also part of the equation. This is the generation that used Cannabis in the 60s and 70s, but quit “to further their careers” and changed their drug of choice to alcohol because it is legal and socially acceptable to many.

This was a horrible choice we were forced to make, I’m sorry to say. The truth about alcohol is finally coming out, but that’s not why we’re here. The truth about Cannabis is this: It is a life changer! If it can’t save your life, at the very least it can improve the quality of it. What good is quantity if you have no quality?

In June 2016 the Salk Institute released information stating preliminary studies found that THC reduces beta-amyloid proteins in human neurons. This means that Cannabis can “promote the cellular removal of amyloid-beta, a toxic protein associated with Alzheimer’s disease.  Unchecked, this accumulates within the nerve cells well before the symptoms of the disease and plaques. It is found in the plaque deposits that are a hallmark of Alzheimer’s.

Cannabis is a neuro-protectant as well as the best anti-inflammatory on the planet. It’s so good the US Government has a patent stating so! I’ve posted a link to it on the Albany’s Canna Kitchen & Research Facebook Page, you’ll find it fascinating.

“Data strongly suggest that THC could be a potential therapeutic treatment option for Alzheimer’s disease through multiple functions and pathways”. I was delighted to find this in the abstract at NCIB!

The choice is yours – are you going to take what you are learning and use it? Call Albany’s Canna Kitchen & Research to schedule your consultation: 541-981-2620.
